Studies on Humanistic Buddhism provides English language articles for scholars and those who want a richer understanding of Humanistic Buddhism. The journal is a result of a unique translation process that employs on online workflow with a cloud-based glossary.
The articles are translated from Chinese by a worldwide team of volunteer translators, editors, and proofreaders. Working collaboratively online, the team is unbounded in space or time. In addition to translated articles, the journal accepts submissions of original papers written in English or Chinese.
The aim of the journal is to provide access to articles on Humanistic Buddhism in English for academic research and studies.
This journal includes the fundamental thoughts of Humanistic Buddhism by Master Taixu, Venerable Tzu Hang, Zhao Puchu, Venerable Master Hsing Yun, Professors Lewis Lancaster, Lai Yonghai, Cheng Gongrang, and many others.
Hard copies of the journal are published by the Fo Guang Shan Institute of Humanistic Buddhism and the Nan Tien Institute of Higher Learning.
